Foundation Repair in Mars Hill, NC: From Sinking Walls to Solid Ground

In these photos taken at a home in Mars Hill, NC, signs of serious foundation settlement were clearly visible. The exterior brick wall had started to bow and pull away, creating visible gaps and causing concern for long-term structural integrity. Cracks in the mortar lines and uneven soil pressure against the foundation were early symptoms of a sinking structure likely worsened by the mountainous terrain and variable moisture levels common in this region.

To permanently stabilize the home, our team excavated along the affected wall and installed high-strength steel push piers beneath the foundation. These piers are designed to transfer the load of the home to deeper, more stable soil layers. Once installed and hydraulically driven to the proper depth, they effectively stopped the settlement and began the lifting process to realign the structure.

The final photo shows the area fully backfilled, with the wall now supported and secure. This transformation not only restored the homeowner’s peace of mind it protected their investment for the future.

Foundation Pier System Stabilizes Customers Home in Black Mountain, NC

A customer's home, built on a rocky mountain, experienced foundation settlement due to unstable ground conditions. To stabilize the home, we installed foundation push piers. This system involves driving steel piers deep into the ground until they reach stable soil or bedrock. The piers are then connected to the foundation, providing support and preventing further settlement. This method ensures the home's structural integrity and restores its stability.

Restoring Building Structural Integrity in Spruce Pine, NC

This building fell victim to soil settlement. To permanently stabilize the structure, we installed our Foundation Push Pier System. This system works by transferring the weight of the building to solid ground through the pier system.

Supporting Sinking Floor from Inside Crawl Space in Spruce Pine, NC

The sinking floor in this home had become a serious problem. The previous work done to prevent this had not been doing its job. We installed our SmartJack system to permanently stabilize the home.

Marion, NC Transformation | From Bowed & Broken to Reinforced & Ready

In the before photo, this Marion, NC basement showed classic warning signs of foundation trouble horizontal cracks across the block wall, visible wall bowing, and signs of moisture damage. The structure was being compromised over time, making the space less usable and putting the home’s long-term integrity at risk.

Tools and clutter had built up around a wall that was under stress telling a story of a once-functional area being slowly overtaken by foundational wear. These visual cues, especially the cracking and movement of the block wall, were symptoms that required immediate attention.

In the after photo, you see the solution in action. We installed steel PowerBrace beams to permanently stabilize and straighten the basement walls. These beams are secured tightly to the floor and joists, designed to stop inward movement and potentially restore the wall’s original position over time. The clutter is cleared, the walls are secure, and the space is now on its way to becoming safe and functional again.

This is what peace of mind looks like engineered, reinforced, and protected.
