A homeowner in Statesville, NC reached out to Carolina Basement Systems with concerns about his home’s uneven concrete walkway. Our team used our PolyLevel and NexusPro solutions to help lift this sunken concrete slab to its original level, and seal and protect against future soil erosion. Another happy customer and another driveway repaired thanks to our team!
The concrete slab poured under this car port outside of this home had begun to sink. It was sloping down around the doorway and water was getting through. We used PolyLevel to lift and stabilize the slab, then we waterproofed the edge with WaterGuard to make sure that rainwater would not be able to sit or get under the slab around the door.
Water kept coming through the block walls and would flood the basement after heavy rains. We installed our interior waterproofing system around the perimeter and sealed the walls off from moisture.
We encapsulated and stabilized this crawl space to protect the entire home.
This Dobson, NC crawl space was in rough shape falling insulation, high humidity, and mold growth were clear signs of a moisture problem. These conditions not only damaged the insulation and wood framing but also allowed unhealthy air to circulate into the home above.
To fix the issues, our team performed a complete crawl space encapsulation. We removed the damaged insulation, sealed the walls with a durable vapor barrier, and installed the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier the most powerful and energy-efficient dehumidifier on the market. Now, this crawl space stays clean, dry, and protected year-round.
