After a plan of action was agreed upon, Ivan and his crew got to work. After treating and removing all mold growth, the crew began encapsulating the crawl space to ensure that mold nor mildew would ever be of concern again. Graphite-impregnated SilverGlo insulation was installed to the walls. Its built-in radiant heat barrier provides and unbroken sheet of R-11 insulation to the home and its waterproof materials act as a vapor barrier to the walls. Drainage matting was laid out on the ground and the remaining exposed areas of the crawl space were sealed with our ultra-durable CleanSpace vapor barrier. Isolating the crawl space from the earth allows for the most efficient humidity control. An UltraSump pump with battery backup was installed to protect the crawl space from flooding - even during a power outage! Our highly-efficient SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and air purifier was added to eliminate musty odors, prevent mold growth, and provide healthy dry air throughout the crawl space environment. To seal off the newly encapsulated crawl space, the crew installed out indestructible EverLast door. Its airtight and watertight design protects the area from insects, critters, moisture, and winter drafts. Lastly, to divert water away from the foundation, our crew installed buried downspouts with LawnScape outlets to the end of the sump pump discharge line to ensure water was disposed of a safe distance away.

After a plan of action was agreed upon, Juan Carlos and his crew got to work. First, they installed a TripleSafe sump pump system to the crawl space. This three-pump system adjusts automatically to meet the current pumping requirements of the environment. This includes a battery-powered pump that protects against flooding during power outages. Next, they had WaterGuard, our subfloor drainage system, installed around the perimeter of the area to capture water at its entry point and direct it to the sump pump for effective removal. Lastly, to keep soils around the home dry and divert water away from the foundation, they installed buried downspouts with LawnScape outlets and IceGuard protection.

Anytime a heavy rain fell, this basement would flood. The block walls were so porous and held so much water that the humidity and musty smell rose rapidly. The homeowners were done with the useless and wet space, so they hired us to solve the problem.

We installed our WaterGuard drainage and TripleSafe sump pump to waterproof the interior. When we went to dig a trench to install our WaterGuard, water instantly flooded the trench from moisture held inside the walls. With these paths cleared out and our drainage system in place, whenever it rains the water will flow straight into our system. This helps reduce the damage being done to the wall by holding all the water in it and keeps the basement dry by getting all the water out of the home.

This crawl space was like many others that, over time, became a breeding ground for issues caused by nature. Then, we irrigated the crawl space and installed EZflow drains along the edge to collect water and send it out through a sump pump. After that, we installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier that keeps humidity down and moisture out. Lastly, we performed some mold remediation, sealed off the vents, and put in a dehumidifying air system to regulate the newly protected air inside the crawl space.

When the job was finished the homeowners were happy with the results. The new crawl space looked great and served a greater purpose in protecting the home and allowing it to run more efficiently.
