The walls were wrapped in our ultra-durable CleanSpace wall system to seal, cover, and protect from any moisture, humidity, or cold drafts. To ensure drier and healthier air throughout, we added our energy-efficient SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and air purification system. Lastly, buried downspouts with our patented LawnScape outlets were installed to the sump pump and gutter discharge lines to prevent water from dumping directly onto the foundation of the home - keeping the surrounding soils strong and dry.

There was water running right into the basement and a giant crack had appeared starting at the front side of the house and running all the way down into the basement. This wall repair system not only stops any further structural damage, but in most cases Geo-Lock anchors can straighten walls back to their original position. To divert water away from the foundation, we installed buried downspouts and a LawnScape discharge line outlet system. A WaterGuard sub-floor drainage structure was installed to capture water seepage and leaks at the first point of entry - before it even has the chance to enter the basement. A CleanSpace wall system was added to protect the basement walls from any potential seepage. This inexpensive, waterproof, and stain resistant material is one of the most effective moisture vapor barriers to exist. We finished off this basement project by adding the high-performance SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier and filtration system. The Sedona prevents mold and reduces musty odors, providing the homeowner with the comfort of having dry healthy air.

When Toni from Pfafftown, NC contacted Carolina Basement Systems, he was in need of assistance with crawl space repair. He had seen the company advertised on Facebook and decided to reach out for help. After hearing about the problem Toni was experiencing, the company decided that the best solution would be to encapsulate the crawl space. This would involve putting a vapor barrier on the ground, sealing the walls, and installing a dehumidifier. Carolina Basement Systems offers free estimates, so Toni decided to take them up on their offer. 

There were a lot of items in storage in this home’s basement. There was also a growing leakage problem. Efflorescence could be found on most walls of the basement and made stored items at risk of water damage.

We installed our non-intrusive perimeter waterproofing system under the floor of the basement and ran the drainage to a sump pump. This system catches water before it enters the basement and pumps it outside away from the home.

The homeowners knew they needed this to keep the basement safe and dry. So, they were very happy with the finished results.

Overtime, ground settlement and water runoff had shifted this concrete walkway. The dips and angles were causing it to be impractical and a dangerous trip hazard.

We drilled holes in the concrete and pumped PolyLevel underneath the concrete to fill the voids underneath. Once the vacant areas under the concrete had been filled, the concrete was level and back in place. Also, it is stabilized and protected from further settlement. The last step was to seal the cracks with NexusPro which waterproofs and binds the sidewalk together.

The homeowners were so happy to have a useable and aesthetically pleasing concrete walkway.

The homeowner on this job, Len, told us he had bought his 50-year-old home after being assured that there was no possibility of leakage issues. Imagine his surprise to find standing water at the base of his home after a heavy rain with a squeegee nearby. The concrete slab porch had sunk in the middle where the ground beneath it had settled and allowed water to rest against the house causing water damage and leakage into the basement. 

After having to squeegee off his back porch after every major rain for two and a half years, Len had had enough. So, He contacted us to set up an appointment for a free estimate.

We got an estimate to him and were then able to get a two-man crew out to fix the problem. Our crew, Matt and Nick drilled holes into the concrete porch and strategically pumped polyurethane into them to fill out the sunken areas to lift it up so it would prevent leaking into the basement. They used levels to help judge how much the concrete had lifted to properly slope away from the home to keep water from the base of the house in the future. Matt and Nick were able to lift the porch, patch the holes, re-caulk, and clean up the area in under two hours.

Throughout the job Matt, a Team Leader, made sure to explain every step of the process to Len and get his feedback to make sure he understood and approved as the job progressed. The homeowner was skeptical that it would work at first, but once he saw the slab lift back into place along the original pour line he was impressed and thrilled to not have to worry every time it rains.
