Our team worked hard to permanently stabilize this building's foundation using helical piers. This system is designed to permanently stabilize the foundation by transferring the weight of the building to load-bearing soil or bedrock. Helical piers won't only stop settlement in its tracks, but they can also lift a foundation back to its original position. After raising this gas station building's foundation back to where it needed to be and the cracks were sealed with poly concrete sealer, the job was done!

Ricky of North Wilkesboro contacted Carolina Basement Systems after noticing that his back patio was cracking and starting to sink down. When the dirt below concrete dries out and shrinks, the concrete above will crack and sink into those empty spaces. Fortunately, this homeowner called the right people!

Our team of trained experts started by installing PolyLEVEL, a high-density polyurethane foam that is designed to fill voids and help lift and stabilize the sinking concrete. This is installed by drilling tiny holes in the top of the slab, placing ports into those holes, and then injecting the foam through the ports to fill and lift the slab. Holes and control joints are then sealed off  with NexusPro. This is a silicone based sealant that is long-lasting, flexible, and can withstand even the harshest of weather.

After inspecting this home’s crawl space, it was obvious that it needed a solution to the water intrusion. Various forms of water seepage had ruined the crawl space. Musty air was being filtered through the home and it was becoming increasingly harder to heat and cool.
