This crawl space was experiencing a lot of issues due to water intrusion. High humidity, mold growth, and standing water were among the worst. These problems were causing difficulties for the homeowners such as unusable space, permanent damage to the home, and holding a consistent interior temperature.
To solve this problem, we installed a full crawl space encapsulation. This system was designed to treat the crawl space as a part of the home and control the air inside of it. To do this we waterproof the interior using a sump pump that expels water outside, wrapped drainage matting and vapor barrier on top of the waterproofing to keep water vapor from the ground out of the crawl space, insulate the walls to keep outside air from affecting the temperature and water levels in the crawl space air, and lastly we installed a dehumidifier specially designed for crawl spaces.
