Built on a hill, this home’s basement walls were consistently saturated with water from runoff. Eventually, this became a problem and the leakage made it impractical to finish the basement. The homeowners decided to hire us to solve their water intrusion problems before they could consider finishing the area.
We inspected the home and found that a full perimeter drainage system with our WaterGuard drainage, CleanSpace vapor barrier, SaniDry dehumidifier, and TripleSafe sump pump would do the trick. To install these products, we dug a trench around the perimeter and put WaterGuard under the floor around gravel and re-poured the concrete over top. Then, we ran this trench into a sump pump basin that can send the water away from the home 24/7. The last step was to install CleanSpace to the walls and a SaniDry dehumidifying air system to help keep the other forms of moisture from becoming a problem and increasing the humidity.
The job was completed on time and the homeowners were thrilled with the work. Their basement is now protected from unwanted water seepage and can be finished without fear of moisture complications.
Full of trash, dirt, and moisture, this crawl space was in major need of repairs. The harm being done to the home through mold, musty smells, energy inefficiencies, and nesting creatures needed to come to an end. So, the homeowners hired us to encapsulate the crawl space and protect it from future weathering.
The first thing we did was clear out the debris. This helps us create a clean slate. After that, we started to seal the entire crawl space in CleanSpace. Our durable and clean vapor barrier is wrapped around piers and up the walls to stop moisture from affecting the air quality. Once it was sealed, we installed our SaniDry dehumidifying air system to dehumidify and purify the air. These products worked together to lower the humidity inside the crawl space and freshen the air being filtered into the home above.
When we finished, the homeowners were very happy with the incredible transformation of their crawl space. Now this part of the home is equipped to protect the house and lower the previous risk factors.
This crawl space in Browns Summit needed a full encapsulation. It was quickly building up trash from unneeded items and the black plastic and insulation that was placed when the house was being built was wearing out. The waterproofing runs around the perimeter of the crawl space and is pumped out through the sump pump. The moisture in the air is kept in check using the dehumidifier as well as the vapor barrier that keeps water from the ground and water from the air outside from getting into the air inside the crawl space.
This home went from being problematic and at risk of future issues to clean, protected, and has seen an increase in value. The homeowners were very pleased with the job from the way it looked to the square footage they gained and the protection that this system offers.
