Flooding was starting to become a serious problem for these homeowners. They had us out to inspect the issues with water seepage.
We ended up installing our entire perimeter drainage system to get all of the unwanted water seepage sent away from the home safely.
One of the larger issues behind water seepage or leaking is simply that the more water there is around the base of the home the more pressure increases and decreases there can be. This means that basement or, in this case, crawl space walls can bow and destabilize easily. We inspected the issues inside this crawl space and knew the wall was experiencing a lot of stress.
To fix this issue there were a couple solutions, but the steel beam PowerBraces seemed to be the best fit. These supports, when places strategically, will hold up a wall and keep it from bowing inward and can be adjusted over time. So, with these beams installed along the wall of this crawl space it can be insured that they hold the same position.
When the job was complete the homeowners were happy, but more importantly the wall was safe. Changing pressure creates a lot of complications to any type of building, and the necessary solution is not always straight forward. That is why we take pride in our work and were satisfied with this job.
