Cracks in the Brick
This was on the exterior part of the home near the front entrance and staircase. This is a deep crack that even goes through the brick itself - a clear indication that some heavy shifting and settling has occurred to this home's foundation.
Helical Pier Installation
To install a helical pier, the soil must be excavated to expose the footing at each pier location. Then, helical piers are turned down into the soil. Lastly, brackets are attached and then any settlement of the home is permanently halted.
Steel Brackets
After the piers are installed, steel brackets are attached to connect each pier to the footing. This is done because helical piers do not depend on the heavy weight of the structure to drive into the soil. That's what makes this system ideal for light weight structures.
Like they were never here...
Despite how invasive the process may seem during installation - the aftermath overall shows minimal disturbance. Our team takes pride in how they leave every job!
