Our team recently transformed a homeowner's wet crawl space into a clean, dry, and healthy environment through our advanced encapsulation process. The project involved several key steps and the use of specialized systems to ensure the best results. First, we installed the StarPipe drainage system. This system effectively captures and directs water away from the crawl space, preventing moisture buildup and potential damage. Next, Cleanspace drainage matting. This matting creates a durable, dimpled surface that allows water to flow freely beneath the Cleanspace vapor barrier, further enhancing moisture control. The Cleanspace vapor barrier was then installed. This heavy-duty barrier is designed to block moisture and vapor from entering the crawl space, keeping it dry and preventing mold growth. Finally, we installed the Triplesafe sump pump. This powerful system provides three levels of protection against water intrusion, ensuring that any water that does enter the crawl space is promptly pumped out, maintaining a dry and healthy environment. This comprehensive approach not only improves the overall health of the crawl space but also enhances the home's energy efficiency and air quality.

Before Encapsulation

Before encapsulation, the homeowner's crawl space was wet, damp, and prone to moisture buildup. This environment was conducive to mold growth, wood rot, and poor air quality, posing potential health risks and structural damage to the home.

TripleSafe Sump Pump

The Triplesafe sump system is a reliable solution for keeping this crawl space dry. It features three pumps: two primary pumps for regular water removal and a backup pump that kicks in if the first two fail or if there's a power outage. The system also includes the Ultrasump 4, which provides additional pumping power, and a battery backup to ensure continuous operation even during power outages. This setup offers triple protection against water intrusion, giving the homeowner peace of mind that your crawl space stays dry no matter what.

Interior Drainage

The StarPipe Drainage system is installed around the perimeter of the crawl space to collect water and drain it to the sump pump system.

Discharge Line

Connected to the TripleSafe, an exterior discharge line is installed to direct water away from the foundation. Our special LawnScape outlet is fastened to the end of the line to allow the water to freely flow out while also camouflaging with the lawn.

Drainage Matting
