Sealed Vents
The vents were sealed, because ventilation is not needed within a crawl space. Sealing them prevents unwanted critters, moisture, and humidity from intruding the crawl space environment.
Drainage Matting
Special dimpled drainage matting is laid out along the floor. In prevents water from collecting along the foundation beneath the vapor barrier, and directs it to the drainage system.
Crawl Space Encapsulation
Graphite-impregnated SilverGlo insulation boards were added to the crawl space walls to provide an unbroken sheet of R-11 insulation and to act as a vapor barrier with its special inorganic materials. Our ultra-durable CleanSpace vapor barrier was then used to seal the remaining exposed areas of the crawl space, for the ultimate moisture and humidity control.
