Ruined Insulation and Bowing Floor
When moisture would get into the air it would soak the insulation causing it to rip and be pulled out of place.
Wet and Molding Floor Joists
High humidity and water vapor in the air created the perfect conditions for mold to grow.
Exposed Ground Inside Crawl Space
The exposed dirt in this crawl space was a source for moisture to find its way inside. The ground water would rise and get into the air and walls.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
Installing a tight and durable vapor barrier, such as CleanSpace, gives the crawl space protection from ground water evaporating into the air.
SilverGlo Wall Insulation
To insulate the crawl space, we installed SilverGlo to the walls. This is more efficient and takes much longer to fail.
Carefully Wrapped Piers
Wrapping up and around block piers is a must inside a crawl space. Water can wick into and be absorbed by blocks from the ground. So, having the vapor barrier around it keeps the water out of the air.
