Exposed Crawl Space
The thin plastic covering has allowed for dirt and water vapor to get into the crawl space. This raises the humidity and can harm the insulation above if it gets wet.
Mold Growth on Floor Joists
Obvious mold growth as a complication of high humidity and no waterproofing was scattered throughout this crawl space.
Problematic Back End of the Crawl Space
This crawl space was very inconsistent on how it chose to protect itself from water vapor and water intrusion. In this corner there was no effective protection at all.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier Protection
With a proper vapor barrier installed and wrapped up interior supports, this crawl space is much more protected from water vapor and high humidity.
Sump Pump Installation
Protection from water intrusion was also important for this crawl space. Our waterproofing system runs underneath our vapor barrier to catch the water as its coming in and before it can cause issues inside.
Cleared Fiberglass Insulation
With our system in place and spray foam insulation put along the walls and key spots, it no longer made sense to keep the interior insulation because it would eventually fall out and allow air to slip inside. This way the crawl space is protected from the outside weather and runs more efficiently.
