Moldy Corner and Doorway
Water seepage through the entry way is common with partially above ground basements and you can see the water damage taking place in the corner.
Isolating the Workspace
When we begin to dig the trench around the perimeter, we put plastic up to keep the dust and debris off the homeowner's belongings.
Digging Trench for Sump Pump
The trench is dug to place our WaterGuard system inside it. It collects water before it gets into the basement and then the sump pump will pump it out. To install the sump pump it requires a slightly larger area to be cut out.
Installed Drains Near Entry Way
With our WaterGuard system installed and collecting water coming in from the ground and wall it is important to catch the water that comes in from above ground sources such as doorways. To do this we install a drain flush with the re-poured floor that feeds into our WaterGuard.
Drain Installed by Bay Door
Entry points in partially above ground basements, such as this bay door, also require surface level drains to make sure the basement stays dry.
Installed Sump Pump
The finishing touch on a perimeter waterproofing is the sump pump. With the basement area covered and ready to collect incoming water, the sump pump stands by ready to expel it all outside.
