Crawl Space and Basement Intersection
Where the crawl space meets the basement is a prime location for water to leak into the basement area.
Trench Previously Dug in Home
The homeowner had dug this trench dug before we got there. However, it was doing nothing to mitigate the seepage issue. We used it and jack hammered it out to the back wall to install out WaterGuard drainage system.
Water Exit by Basement Door
By the door of this home was the best location to dig the trench to and running it out down hill into the back yard.
Basement Crawl Space Hybrid After
With the trench dug and the drainage system in place the drainage matting and vapor barrier over the basement and crawl space intersection is designed to collect any water that makes it way toward the basement from the crawl space.
Basement Floor After Filling Trench
Once the trench was jack hammered out to the back wall, we were able to install out waterproofing system. Once the system is in the concrete is re-poured and set back to normal.
Sump Pump Installation
The finishing touches on the job was the sump pump installation. This is where all the collected water from the walls and crawl will be expelled from the house. It is fully equipped with a emergency backup battery and overflow protection.
