WaterGuard: A Product Deep Dive
For most basements, our WaterGuard system is the ideal choice for waterproofing! It's installed (with very minimal invasion) below the floor slab, resting atop the foundation footing. The real advantage of this is that it keeps the structure out of the 'mud zone' which prevents drain clogs! Our WaterGuard system is designed to catch water at its entry point, before it ever has the chance to touch the basement floors. It will then direct any collected water to the nearest sump pump or discharge line for effective removal. The install process is quick and has a clean finished appearance, so you don't have to worry about an unsightly drain on your basement. WaterGuard works for both block walls and poured concrete, ensuring that your basement will remain dry in all situations.

What makes a good drainage system:
- It is designed to not clog (ie: sits on top of footing)
- Will drain wall leaks (ie: has a built-in gap between floor and wall)
- Does NOT rely on filter fabric
- Has a large drain outlet to the sump pump (to ensure effective removal of collected water)
- Will not cause any structural damage to the foundation
